Went to see my hubby for dinner a while ago. He's staying with his mom until tomorrow and I'm not used to not seeing him for more than a day. He suggested that we try this new place just beside Pao-Tsin (love their dimsum and rice), Camp Tribu. It's been there for over a month now. The name doesn't sound like it has anything to do with food (for me, that is). When entering Camp Tribu, you'll directly see their counter. They offer sinigang na baboy, garlic talbos, ensaldang talong, bottomless iced tea, pichi pichi, sisig and others. What caught my attention was their "unlirice" meals. For P99, you can have either chicken inasal (a choice between pecho part or paa), Tribu Fried Chicken, Boneless bangus and liempo with unlimited rice. Just like what Mang Inasal offers. Hmm, they better have a good chicken inasal, because Mang Inasal's is sumptuous!
We tried their P99 unlirice meal. I got the fried chicken and my hubby tried their chicken inasal. We added P35 to each order for bottomless Iced Tea and Pichi pichi.
Their fried chicken is good. I bet they use good quality chicken breading which I bet they bought from the nearby grocery store. Their chicken inasal was a disaster. It was small, it is burnt, and has more bones than meat. The rice that comes with the meal was a bit cold. The meal and the bottomless Iced Tea was not that satisfying but it did fill me up. I love their pichi pichi. It was not too sweet, has cheese and is so soft.
I wouldn't order their meals again but I sure will come back for their pichi pichi. Should I crave for Chicken Inasal with unlimited rice, I'd go to Mang Inasal's.
